Meet Miss Klay-Lynn Olivia Pare

Me & Carson got the pleasure of meeting one of my dearest friends new little baby girl. They came for a visit on Thursday night, and I got lots of little snuggles from one of the cutest little girls I know. She's healthy and perfect, and I couldn't be happier for her Mommy. Their little family unit is adjusting to parenthood very well, everyday is a new adventure. Welcome to the world Klay, we're happy your here :)

Sushi on the beach

A few weeks ago it was way too hot to muster up the energy to cook anything for supper so we decided sushi sounded great. Into the car and off to the beach we went, and apparently we weren't the only ones with the idea to not cook that night. It was jammed packed down there... the beach not the restaurant. I'm not much of a risk taker when it comes to trying different foods, so I stuck with my usual avocado maki and vegetable tempura, Carson gets the ones with all the raw fish in it. One time he ordered the eel, seemed like a good choice at the time he thought, but oh my god when it came to the table and Carson dug in , it was all I could do not to gag. It had a very slimy underneath, which even made Carson gag abit in his mouth, that dish was soon pushed off to the side. And then there was the seafood bowl, sounds not bad right? Well , the menu should state that fish still have eyeballs intact. Wish I had my camera there for that one, but at least he's brave and trys these dishes, I give you credit for that Carson. Next time we go ( which we go quite often) I'll get some snapshots of Carsons new pick of the month. Stay tuned...............

Canada Day @ Tunkwa Lake

Happy Belated Canada Day to you all. Hope everyone had a great weekend and managed to stay cool in the sweltering heat. We met up with very good friends at Tunkwa Lake near Merritt. None of us had been there before and seeings how it was in middle for all of who had to travel from Wms Lk, and Kelowna and then us from Vancouver it seemed like a good spot. But the extremely dry surroundings, unbelievable how much beetle kill was in that area, red trees as far as the eye could see. So needless to say none of us took pictures of the lake itself, more room for party pics . The spiders were also out of control there, they came in all shapes and sizes, and especially loved to hang out on the outside of the tents, ask Christina, they really loved there tent. Other than that it was very relaxing and even better to see our good friends and share stories and laughs. Here's some pics:

Here's our goofin' around picture, or some people would say we look normal. We don't look burnt at all, do we? Dukes behind the camera.

Three amazing friends and a good times Cheer!

Kloiya our very cute "niece " dog.
