Sleepless in Seattle

Yesterday Carson & I fled the country for the day and went to Bellingham. The weather was in our favor, so sunny & warm, perfect for a drive. We had our sights set on Bellis Fair mall, I have my heart set on a new pair of shoes, which girl doesn't! I have never been to Bellis fair before and from all the hype I've heard about it I had great expectations. But on the contrary, it was a let down. Our metrotown or even Guildford mall puts that place to shame. So we did a quick wonder about and then hopped back into the car and hit the outlet mall. Carson had his heart set on the Nike store, so we made our appearance there, and I could hardly belive that Carson walked out of there empty handed. After our morning of shopping we both agreed that we were shopped out and headed back to Canada. And we made it back across the border safe and sound. Those custom officers sure intimidate a person I tell ya, I think it's humorous that the US border control carry guns, which is great they should... But our Canadian Custom officers don't, they'll give a gun to a transit cop but not customs??? Something wrong with that picture. We then went to a pub and had dinner and watched the Canucks lose AGAIN. All in all it was a fabulous day in the warm weather being silly with my best friend, couldn't ask for a better day.
