Christmas baking

I've taken a minute to share with you my cookie marathon I'm having today. The weather outside is icky & Carsons at work, so what better opportunity to tackle the Christmas baking. So far I've made Lemon tarts, Chocolate Haystacks, and Chocolate balls. Next is shortbread & butter tarts, my plan is to freeze all these and ship some to the firehall. I feel like I've gained 5 pounds just making them, as one does have to test them first. Well I must get back to it, Happy baking everyone:)

FUN!! Adam and I made 10 different types of exotic cookies last year and put them into fancy tins, with handmade labels and gave them away as Christmas gifts! I think it was one of the best gifts we've done so far! We try and hand make something different every year.
Good for you for getting the baking done early. It's still November! Nice job! Oh, and please send extras out to Montreal!! Hee hee!!

I have been racking my brain trying to remember all the cookies we made...I know there were a few recipes from Martha Stewart's fabulous Christmas cookie magazine, there were my favourite Church Windows (mini marshmallows with butterscotch chips and walnuts - all melted and cut into squares), there were some fantastic macadamia nut cookies, butter tarts (homemade and delicious - although I hate raisins, so Adam made some without for me...) and more delectable treats!! It was a lot of work, but it was SO worth it! I can't wait to see some pics of your stuff!
